Purpose and Goals of Redemption Ministry

 

Redemption Ministry is a ministry of the Seashore Mission, Inc. Purpose is to assist ex-offenders with knowledge, character, and stability and equipping them to succeed; and paving the way to a brighter future; changing our community one person at a time. 

 

This is a second chance ministry for ex-offenders. to assist ex-offenders to live independently, work to secure and maintain a residence, to maintain health, assume family responsibilities, participate in community-based activities, and engage in a law-abiding responsible lifestyle.  Redemption Ministry Goal, is to lessen recidivism and to restore ex-inmates to being productive members of society by:

 

          a. minimizes barriers to successful community integration.

          b. ensure success through case management.

          c. educates and informs ex-offenders.

          d. developing competencies for independent living.

          e. change ex-offenders’ behavior for the better.

          f. link prison-based services with community-based services.

          g. enhancing employment opportunities and stability.

          h. mitigates identified risk factors associated with criminal behavior.

 

The program is provided at no cost to the individual.  Redemption Ministry serves a diverse ex offender male and female population age 18-35 that otherwise might not have any hope.
